Missile Defense Tool-Kit
Anticipate the threat. Measure the response. Protect assets.
Shield Master is the GMSPAZIO toolkit for analyzing Missile Defense scenarios and evaluating the performance of defensive systems against incoming missile threats.
Create realistic scenarios, simulate trajectories, model sensors, evaluate engagement windows, and measure key operational metrics.
Tested and approved at NATO CWIX 2023 and 2024, Shield Master helps technical teams, operators, and decision-makers understand the threat before action.
System Introduction
From Threat to Defense Evaluation
In a Missile Defense scenario, every second counts. It’s not enough to know that a threat is incoming. You need to understand where it originates, how it moves, when it’s detected, which sensors see it, which assets are exposed, and what response options are available.
Shield Master was created for this purpose: to transform complex missile scenarios into readable, quantitative, and comparable analyses.
The platform supports threat definition, trajectory propagation, defensive network configuration, and evaluation of the system’s operational performance.
The result is a simulation environment designed to test scenarios, compare architectures, and support decisions prior to operational deployment.
Metrics
Measuring What Makes Defense Effective
Shield Master allows for the quantification of essential missile defense metrics. From detection times to engagement windows, from radar coverage to interceptor behavior, every element of the scenario is analyzed to determine if the defensive architecture can respond to the threat.

Scenarios
Configure, Simulate, Compare
Shield Master allows you to build missile defense scenarios starting from concrete elements: launch sites, targets, sensors, defensive batteries, interceptors, and threat profiles.
The user can model ballistic, cruise, and, where provided by the roadmap, hypersonic threats, configuring trajectories, operational characteristics, and behavior within the scenario.
The simulation allows for comparing different configurations, evaluating vulnerabilities, and understanding how the defensive response changes with variations in the threat or sensor network.

Modular Architecture
Three Modules to Understand the Entire Operational Chain
Shield Master is built on a modular architecture designed to follow the entire missile defense analysis cycle. The Missile Designer Module allows for defining and archiving the characteristics of threats and interceptors. The Missile Propagation Module simulates the movement of threats and interceptors within the scenario. The Defense Network Module evaluates the response of the defensive network, integrating sensors, radars, interceptors, and assets to be protected.
This architecture allows for a progressive workflow: first, the threat is built, then the scenario is simulated, and finally, the defense’s capability to react is measured.

Reports
Clear Outputs for Operational Evaluations
Shield Master transforms simulation into concrete and usable information, generating outputs and reports designed to support technical analyses, operational evaluations, and comparisons between different scenarios.
The platform allows for analyzing trajectory profiles, flight and travel times, detection times, reaction delays, launch and engagement time windows, commit windows, and interceptor flyout times. It also enables evaluation of radar coverage, intercept volume, and, more generally, the overall performance of the defensive network.
Results can be represented through graphs, scenario reports, and performance metrics, facilitating comparison between different architectures, threats, and configurations. The quality of the analysis naturally depends on the input data and scenario assumptions, but the toolkit’s value lies in its ability to make this information readable, comparable, and useful for decision-making processes.
