Definition
Cookies consist of portions of code installed within the browser. They are small text files that sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored and then transmitted back to the same sites on subsequent visits. Cookies are used for different purposes, have different peculiarities, and can be used either by the owner of the site the User is visiting or by third parties.
